Damn, I feel like I gotta apologize for my last post. I have no idea why I come off so dramatic and whiny sometimes - kinda cringe.

Anyways, I'm very happy to be back on NG after so long away. Already I've had several interactions with other human beings (including old friends), which feels great. I had forgotten how diverse, enthusiastic, creative, maybe a little cringey and... neurodivergent in the (and I cannot stress this enough) best possible way this website is.

I think a big part of why my music and creative endeavors in general fell flat for so many years is because for so long it was just me sat in front of FL Studio alone. I'd spend a couple of minutes a week (at most) trying to work on something and quickly ending up over-thinking or losing interest. Since I spent so few minutes spread across so many years I was never able to improve in any way either, which just added to my lack of motivation.

So, considering all of that: I'm going to be focusing on quantity over quality (somewhat) for a while and seeing where it gets me. There might be a large amount of hard-to-listen-to noise, but a good chance that I'll learn something from it.

There's this person on YouTube I've been following who's posting their journey through 'learning music production' from the very beginning (incl. no music theory). A lot of their first attempts very strongly remind me of my early ""music"". They've made a great deal of progress in just 50 days so far by consistently making something every day and gathering feedback from comments. So that's the sort of direction I want to go. (Obviously not something everyday, my WFH job isn't THAT forgiving)...

Newgrounds is great for feedback of many different kinds, and also a really great place to check out what other people get up to as well.

So, it's been a decade since I last posted a "news" and had a big sob about how I didn't like NG anymore etc etc...

I first pirated FL Studio back in 2009 without any music theory, instrument knowledge or common sense - hoping to become a super successful producer like my heroes Daft Punk and Deadmau5, or making it to the NG Frontpage like ParagonX9, EnV or cornandbeans.

Obviously I sucked shit (and arguably still do), exporting .mp3s ranging from "un-listenable" to "tinnitus fuel."

Unfortunately as music became the only creative output I could consistently finish - I ended up attaching a majority of my self-worth/validation to it and its reception.

Few listens on SoundCloud, few listens (and some nice critique) on NewGrounds, nobody at school cared. In fact, someone in my class picked up FL and immediately surpassed anything I could have hoped to make.

(All this doesn't bother me so much now, but for my teenage self experiencing the loneliest time in their life - it sure did then).

Although my need for a stranger's validation of my shitty hobby waned a little over the years - it still didn't stop me posting to NewGrounds and enjoying the fact at least someone has listened to what I made.

Close to 30 and continuing to struggle making sense of my life and what I am, I made SOULKILLER. As usual, I thought I'd upload it to NewGrounds for my usual crumb of listens and continue on with my life.

Then... "Frontpaged"???

The Audio frontpage, sure...

Over 15 years past NewGrounds' prime, sure...

Almost immediately pushed to the next page by another load of submissions? Sure...

But I did it - it was there and I saw it.

They would have been proud. I suppose I am too.

Unfortunately, I have grown apart from this wonderful website and its lovely inhabitants. I'll still come by here every so often, but... y'know...

ZIGGYRENO IS DEAD (ISH).

I have changed my music producer name from 'Ziggyreno' to 'K.I One'.

My first EP length album will be out very soon (hence why you haven't seen much of my activites on Newgrounds).

It will be sold digitally in .mp3 format for a reasonable price.

I've been looking for a while and I finally found a Wacom Bamboo Graphics Tablet.
Now I just need some practice (and perhaps a brain) and I'll be drawing crap and animating again very shortly.

I could even restart my infamous flop 'PSG' back from '09 Or perhaps even 'Stupid SWAT' which was also never released.

I'll try draw some fancy artist-like pictures if I can be bothered also...

My game PSG has taken way longer than expected, about 9 months to make 2 of the 5 levels.
I need help with this. Now, I'm not able to pay for your efforts but, I'll put you in the credits with links to your websites etc. and I'll spread the word of your talents.
I'm looking for people with the following skills:
Programmer (Basic - Moderate)
Character Artist
Animator (Moderate, I don't need no Oscar Johansson's. Although it would be nice.)
Voice actor(s) (This may or may not be entirely necessary but, it would be nice.)
Testers (I mean serious testers, people with MSN and who can find errors and give feedback.)
And a personal assistant who brings me a cup of coffee every 3 mins (Just kidding)
